we are heading towards the end of the year and before that we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for supporting us throughout the year! Thank you for your ideas, suggestions and criticism helping us make Escape the Pacific a better game!
In 2019 we were mainly concentrated on adding basic mechanics and functionality. However we also …
• expanded game content with many new models and introduced new island types,
• upgraded the game lighting system as much as the cloud system was replaced with a more realistic volumetric one,
• updated the cooking system and added new recipes
• and implemented the new-comer systems Vitamin C and Food diversity to provide a more challenging game experience.
As almost all of the basic features are already implemented (mainly, except of the 25 000 km2 open ocean with island clusters), we’ll put our focus on adding more and more content for the next year, eg vegetation, island types, animals, quests, story elements … and maybe the basics for multiplayer. Certainly we have some surprise elements planned too. With Escape the Pacific taking place in the mid 1800’s there’s a whole lot of possibilities to implement interesting and unique features. We hope that our community will continue to support us with new ideas, suggestions and with their positive energy – so, together, we get to improve the game and increase gaming experience. Some of your ideas we already received were truly inspiring and will find their way into the game sooner or later for sure.
Holidays are here and besides resting we plan to work on new features and on improving gameplay a little, working a bit less on the game than usual.
Our next build will be released in January 2020, until then:
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
